Donna Langrell

Donna Sue Langrell unexpectedly passed away at the age of 72 on October 8th, 2024. Donna was born on December 14th, 1951, in Manhattan, KS to Exum & Betty Langrell.

Those to mourn her loss are her daughter Kellie Crough (Terry) of Salina, granddaughters Caitlyn Forsberg (Tanner) of Abilene & Emily Baker (Ayden) of Salina, as well as the biggest joy in her life, her great-granddaughter, Octavia Crane. She is survived by her sister Vicki Flanigan, niece Keely and nephew Shane of Arizona, as well as her beloved pets, Gracie, Bella and Willow. She was fortunate enough to experience a large, blended family from her daughter and she was a friend to even more (Lynn, Rex, Ed & Linda). She was loved by many, and she loved back. From her daughter's friendships, she gained two bonus children, Amanda & Joshua, bonus granddaughters Theresa Ann & Kenadie as well as her bonus grandchildren Justin Crough, Michael & Jamie Crough, Jerod & Jen Crough, bonus great grandchildren Dylan, Maddie and Kiki.

Trying to sum up someone's life on one single piece of paper is difficult, especially the life of Donna aka Mimi.

Donna was born in Manhattan, KS, where she lived with her parents and sister. She loved telling stories about her life growing up and all the history she lived through. She had a love for family, life, friends, flamingos and Elvis. Donna lived in Shreveport, LA where she had her only daughter, then they moved back to Salina when Kellie was three. She worked at Federal Mobil, then started her 39-year career at Western Auto, where she stayed until her retirement from Advance Auto DC in 2022. Over her tenure at Western Auto/Advance, she met many people, made many friends, and had many laughs. She was a bit on the ornery side and loved to crack jokes and pull your leg whenever she could. She had many fond memories over the years and cherished the friendships she had made. Donna made everyone that came into her home feel welcome and trust me, she welcomed many over the years.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents Exum & Betty, Grandparents, and her dear sweet friend Joanie.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to plant a tree, adopt a flamingo at the zoo or share stories you have, so we can keep her memory alive.
